Previous Internship Program Participant Testimonial:

“Not only has this internship improved my professional skills, but I found a passion for educational issues that I wasn’t aware I possessed. During my first two weeks at MACAE, I had met the organization’s board members, done general office duties, attended House and Senate hearings on important education bills and been given huge responsibilities regarding the MACAE newsletter, because that aspect of MACAE matched my career goals. Within a month, I had established source relationships with professionals throughout the state. This internship has helped me develop into a professional young woman, ready to enter the workforce. When I began, I still hoped to work as a copy editor after graduation. Within two weeks, my mind was set on finding a job in education. Without this internship, I wouldn’t have discovered a whole new world of possibilities that would bring out the fire within me. I believe that my career will be greatly impacted by this valuable internship.”
