McCann Erickson Summer Internship Proposal

Purpose:
To create a well-rounded learning opportunity for an aspiring advertising/marketing professional.

Timing:
Summer Semester/June-August

Requirements:
• GPA Requirements – 3.0 or above
• Must be studying advertising or related field
• Must be able to receive college credit
• Must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week

Job Description:
The McCann Erickson Summer Internship will provide the opportunity to develop in areas such of; project managing, organization, presentation and research skills. In addition, the intern will have the opportunity to shadow separate agency departments in order to attain a better understanding of the operations of an advertising agency as a whole through learning sessions.

Responsibilities may include:
• Attend weekly status meetings and select client meetings
• Develop meeting call reports
• Keep updated job list
• Manage bi-weekly competitive reports
• Shadow financial process
o Opening jobs
o Work with proper departments to generate estimates
o Monitor job costs with coordinator
o Closing jobs
• Organize media library
• Research project (ongoing)
• Shadow account team members
• Participate in learning sessions
• Assist in formatting and proofreading scripts

International Advertising Association in THE BIG APPLE FOR THE SUMMER?

International Advertising Association.
The assignment will be regular 9 to 5 office hours at our location at 275 Madison Avenue.
The job will be handling assignments from me and two other members of staff. Typical work at this time of year includes working on our 2010 World Congress -- handling execution of our sponsorship sales acquisition program, updated or orginating new powerpoint presentations, working on a fall line-up of intl events called Digital Download. Behind the headlines. Plus we have a project on hand with the UN on climate change which requires some support. Its a bit admin orientated, but the opportunity to sit in on meetings, work on original projects and have the opportunity to get plugged into the younger people at our New York Chapter.
This is also a PAID opportunity.

MSU 2009-2010 Athletic Sales & Marketing Internship

We are looking for self-motivated undergraduate MSU students for the
2009-2010 academic year, that want to be a part of the game-day
operations of the Athletic Sales & Marketing Department. This position
will support and assist with the sales and marketing of Michigan State
Athletic events:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Execution of corporate sponsorships at Athletic events, during
pre-game, in-game and post game.
Assisting with the planning and implementation of season-long
and single game promotions (for all sports).
Coordinate game day promotions with promotions staff, event
managers, etc.
Assist with the Junior Spartan Club and special events for
members.
Attend each event for which you are assigned.
Identify potential organizations and youth clubs for group
admissions.
Coordinate in-arena entertainment (promotions, music, band,
cheerleaders, etc.)
Distribute posters and other flyers to assigned dorms, buildings,
and/or corporate sponsors
Creating flyers or publications to entice the community to be a
part of MSU Athletics.
Other duties as assigned by the Sales and Marketing staff.
