Duties include: develop and implement the overall communications strategy of AFP-Michigan. Establish and cultivate relationships with reporters, bloggers, key influencers. Formulate, draft, edit and pitch various forms of communication via email, facebook, twitter, radio, tv. Depending on an strengths and interests responsibilities may include event coordination, issue research, direct mail, web design and fund-raising. Must work closely with our Washington DC media and marketing team with travel to DC as necessary.

Global Mentors
Global Mentors is looking for an intern, who is majoring either in Communication/Advertising/Journalism/Marketing.
The position is half-time, and is paid according to the experience and education of the intern. S/he shall be responsible developing media content, assisting in organizing public events. Here is the blurb for 'communication intern's' position:
*Excellent written and verbal communications skills, previous experience developing written materials
*Ability to develop strong working relationships with management and external resources
*Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex information
*Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries
*Ability to develop, manage and deliver complex project plans, often under tight deadlines
*Excellent interpersonal skills including the confidence and ability to work effectively at all levels of the Company Strong leadership and teambuilding skills
* Ability to plan, organize, and run an event in a team.
