Megabus.com


Megabus.com, the first and largest city-to-city daily express bus service with tickets starting as low as $1, is looking for two students ? preferably sophomores (but select juniors would be considered) enrolled in public relations, marketing or advertising classes ? at Michigan State University to be our Student Ambassadors for your city!
Student Ambassadors will be responsible each year for planning and working two events in your city or on your campus (preferably in a student union, high-traffic area or major festival/fair). They will hand out flyers, tell people about megabus.com, and be in charge of our prize wheel game ? where people can to spin and win a t-shirt, koozie, pen or free tickets for travel on megabus.com in exchange for collecting their email address.
Student Ambassadors will be in charge of hiring and supervising 3-4 other students to help run events, and they will be expected to report to megabus.com the results of each event.
We?re reaching out to your students because it gives them the opportunity to work with a national public relations agency, help plan and manage an event and report on the outcomes. Talk about real-world experience!

Description
Student Ambassadors will be paid $15/hr for planning each event, working it and reporting the results.
Please review these requirements before applying:
?              Prefer a University sophomore (however select juniors would be considered)

?              Able to communicate efficiently and promptly the results and outcomes

Job Description: The Communications intern will work alongside our Executive Director on Allen
Neighborhood Center's weekly e-bulletin (Active Neighboring News), the bi-monthly
Eastside Neighbor print newsletter, website maintenance
(www.allenneighborhoodcenter.org), and social media sites (Facebook and Twitter).
You may use this internship for credit if arranged with an academic adviser.
Qualifications:

Must be able to commit 5-10 hours per week for a minimum of 12 weeks. Junior or Senior

Internship objective: The goal of our internships is to provide student participants with a meaningful, multi-dimensional, “real world” experience that will build upon their educational background and help create a foundation on which they can base a professional career.

About the interning organization: Tanner Friedman is a strategic communications firm specializing in traditional and emerging media relations, adversity management and public relations counsel.

Stone Ward is currently accepting applications for Camp Reality, a 10-week, full-time, paid internship program from June 3, 2013 to Aug. 9, 2013.

The 2013 Camp Reality intern class will include one representative from each of our departments. Stone Ward is looking for students who are interested in advertising, marketing, journalism, public relations, media buying and planning, creative writing, digital design, print production, broadcast production and graphic design.

We prefer applicants who are juniors, seniors or recent graduates. Interns will be paid $8 per hour.

Through Camp Reality, the intern class will team up to produce an integrated, strategic plan consisting of creative concepts, public relations initiatives, media plans and digital products that will be presented to a client at the end of the summer. While creating these materials, interns work alongside and often build lasting relationships with Stone Ward professionals. Interns are given guidance on how to complete projects but are encouraged to exercise their own creativity during the program.

Stone Ward, headquartered in Little Rock, Ark. with an office in Chicago and is one of the largest advertising agencies in the region. Stone Ward clients include Terminix, Sport Clips, U.S. Soccer, the Arkansas Department of Higher Education and Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Detroit Zoological Society Seeks PR Interns for Summer

Want to mingle with the macaronis and pal around with the polar bears while learning valuable PR and communications skills?  Then the Detroit Zoological Society (DZS) has the internship for you! 
The DZS is seeking college student interns for the summer who are in their junior or senior year and studying Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or related fields.  Interns will be responsible for researching and drafting press releases, talking points, newsletter profiles, Facebook status updates and other PR-related copy; proofing and editing copy; scheduling and coordinating media interviews; escorting media through the Zoo during video/photo shoots; assisting with commercial and motion picture film shoots and special events; updating website and mobile app content; and performing other PR-related assignments.  
Interns will work closely with the Communications Director and other interns while learning valuable skills needed in the Public Relations workforce.  Excellent writing and public speaking skills are a plus. 
The duration of the internship is early May through late August; 24 hours (three days) per week.  This is a non-paid internship, and it is mandatory that students receive course credit.
