Advent House Ministries (AHM), a day shelter for homeless, transitionally homeless and at-risk individuals

Advent House Ministries (AHM), a day shelter for homeless, transitionally homeless and at-risk individuals, (743 N. Martin Luther King Blvd.,in Lansing), really needs reading tutors for adult guests.
In an effort to find jobs, Advent House guests are working on their GEDS, life skills and job skills. Many of these individuals are quite motivated as they really want to find work but know that they need their education to do so. Coming back to school after many left before graduating is truly courageous and more and more individuals are taking on that challenge.

People can volunteer their time for two hours a week or more. If interested, they may also help teach classes. Please contact Toni Townshend, Literacy Director, tonitown10@gmail.com 485-4722 at Advent House Ministries.
