IMPORTANT OPPORTUNITY FOR FREE WORKSHOP!!

The International Association of Business Communicators Detroit Chapter(IABC)  is hosting the IABC Heritage Region Conference, October 9-11 at the Westin Book Cadillac in Downtown Detroit. On Sunday, October 9, prior to the start of the conference, we are hosting a “Fast Track” session designed for students pursuing degrees in communications, PR and marketing. This session from 1- 5pm and is FREE to students.

Students will hear first-hand advice and practical tips from senior communications practitioners working in the field and also get a chance to test their skills with “hands on” case studies and group brainstorming sessions. The student sessions will feature such topics as how to integrate social media into traditional communication programs, the value of face-to-face communications and much more.

After the workshop, students can attend the networking reception from 5-6 p.m. (cash bar) where they can network with more than 150 communicators from throughout the Northeast and Midwest United States. Students who wish to stay for the Sunday evening dinner and program can do so at the reduced rate of $25.
