MSUFCU

The MSU Federal Credit Union Internship Opportunity Award program is now accepting applications from any undergraduate student who is actively pursuing or has secured an unpaid summer internship that is focused on non-profit organizations, government, media, the arts, public relations or advertising.  While preference will be given to Lansing area and Michigan non-profits and start up businesses, intern locations anywhere in the U.S. are eligible.

This summer, 40 stipend awards of $1,000 are available to help cover student expenses related to their unpaid internship experience.  Additional awards may be given pending available funds and student interest/need.  Friday, March 29 at 5pm is the deadline for submitting all application materials (application + personal essay + resume.)  These stipend awards are to help students with expenses related to their summer 2013 unpaid internships. Note that students can apply if they are actively pursuing or have secured a summer internship!

I’ve attached an Overview and paper application with details about eligibility, application requirements and the selection criteria.  Students pursuing an unpaid internship for this summer can submit their application materials online or on paper.  Program and application process details can be found in www.MySpartanCareer.com to job 61059.  Deadline: March 29, 2013.

The best candidates will be those who meet the selection criteria, have secured a high quality internship opportunity and are able to demonstrate a plan and a passion for achieving their career goals as well as make a case for their financial need.  Award recipients will be announced around April 22, 2013 so that funds will be available in time to help them with expenses related to their unpaid summer internship experience.
